Coach to follow the Captain !?

It has only been a few days after Virat Kohli announced that he won’t prolong his stay as the captain of the Indian cricket team in T20 format and would step down from captaincy once the ICC T20 World cup comes to an end. Reports already suggesting that Rohit Sharma will be his successor in T20 format. Although Virat will continue to be the captain of the ODI and Test sides of the country his stepping down has already created a row of many controversial rumours and speculations among the media and fans.

Well looks like the rumours and speculations are not going to end anytime soon as the Coach is set to follow the footsteps of the Captain as Ravi Shastri has hinted that he would step down from his role as the Coach of Indian cricket team as soon as the T20 world cup ends as per multiple reports.

It’s said that Ravi Shastri feels that he has achieved all he wanted with his Indian cricket team as a Coach and mentioned being the No.1 test side for 5 years and beating Australia and England in their home as one of the major success stories he had in his tenure and would step down as he doesn’t want to ‘Overstay his welcome’.

Although apart from an excerpt from an Interview to The Guardian There’s been no official statement regarding him stepping down from his role as the coach of the Indian cricket team.
Whatever happens one thing is for sure that Indian cricket will witness a series of events unfolding once the T20 WC comes to an end as the team is set to undergo a major reform in it’s Key leadership roles especially the coaching position which is a top job in india’s sports industry if Ravi Shastri decides to step down.

And if it happens whom would you suggest would be perfect candidate to Coach a futuristic Indian Cricket team?
