Former Indian footballer P.V. Ramakrishnan passed away

Former Indian footballer and Kerala Santosh Trophy captain PV Ramakrishnan passed away. He played in defense as well as midfield. Ramakrishnan played in the Santosh Trophy for Kerala from 1964 to 1972. In 1968, he captained Kerala in the Santosh Trophy.

He was a member of the Indian team in the 1967 Merdeka Cup in Kuala Lumpur. He also played for the Indian team in Malaysia, Singapore and Bangkok.

After the Santosh Trophy in 1964, He became a player at the Vasco Football Club. He also plays for Goan Santosh Trophy team. From Vasco he moved to ALIND Kundara and Kalassery Premier Tires teams.

He was the main player of ALIND Kundara at their prime time. In 1967 Ramakrishnan led the ALIND team and won Nagji Trophy, MFA Shield, Chacola Gold Cup and the KFA Shield.
