Owing to conflicts with the sponsors, like the last season, SC East Bengal could come into play in the eleventh hour. They are busy tracking free agents and bringing players on loan. As per reports, SCEB is trying uttermost to make use of the January transfer window. They will be tackling heavy to bring back Bright Enobakhare who turned out to be a fans’ favorite with just one season.
That wonder goal against FC Goa! That strike after beating about four Goan players is enough to remember the wonder boy Bright Enobakhare. The signing of the 23 – year-old Nigerian striker can be said as one of the best signings done by SC East Bengal in their debut season in ISL i.e, last season.
Currently Bright is playing for English club Coventry City where he has a contract till 2023. East Bengal might have to pull hard and pay a copious amount to recoup him.
The participation of SCEB in the Indian Super League was in doubt until West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee moderated the situation between East Bengal and their investor Shree Cement. Let’s see what happens and how East Bengals are setting their squad before the ISL season 8.
